A year ago at this time, we had no idea that we would have a baby around for Christmas. Having a baby around makes Christmas seem more special somehow. Everyone seems especially excited to see you and hang out with this new family member. We find it hard to think of something when someone asks what you want for Christmas and now I get it when your parents say "you don't have to buy me anything" when you ask. I'd be happy if all those gifts just went to Lily now. Though I don't know what she would do with an Xbox Kinect. I don't know what she's gonna do with most of the gifts that she got since she's only 2 months old, but I'm sure she'll use them soon enough. People were so crazy generous with gifts for Lily that we needed make a second trip to get the rest the following weekend. If all the gifts that she received, one of our favorites was a winter hat that Grandma and Grandpa gave her. It's ridiculously cute and looks ridiculously warm.
After Christmas, we were one of many that got snowed in. This wasn't a bad thing though. Since Jen, Leo and Nathan were up, we got an extra day to play with them and an extra day to just do nothing. Luckily I had the week off, so I could afford a week's worth of snow days anyway. When we finally did get home, we had a good 2 ft of snow on our property. We literally had to dig our way into the house.
Since Lily's birth, we received at least 6 different outfits for Lily to wear during the holidays. Here are the ones that she actually fit into..
